Who we are
These terms govern your use of Universal Chess School's online chess classes and this website, operated by Universal Chess School.
Accounts
An account is created for each student. Where the student is a child, the account is held by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for it. Keep your password to yourself; tell us at once if you think somebody else has it.
Classes
Classes run at the times shown in your own timezone. A coach may reschedule a class where necessary and will give as much notice as they can. Attendance, homework and progress are recorded so a coach can teach effectively.
Fees
Fees are shown before you commit and are billed to the schedule on your invoice. Access to classes and homework is paused while a fee is past its due date, and resumes as soon as payment is submitted.
Conduct
We expect courtesy from students, parents and coaches alike. We may suspend an account for abusive behaviour, cheating in tournaments, or sharing class access with people who are not enrolled.
Recordings and materials
Lesson material, puzzles and study content provided by Universal Chess School are for the enrolled student's own use. Please do not redistribute them.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available at all times but cannot guarantee it. Where a class is lost to a fault on our side, it is rescheduled or credited.
Changes
We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect.
